What a wonderful late summer wedding day we spent with Jacob and Katie! We started the day at the Bride's parent's house, where all of the ladies were getting ready. Once everyone was dressed, we headed to Holy Martyrs Catholic church in Medina for the Akron Wedding Ceremony. After a gorgeous wedding ceremony, it was off to the Brooker Insurance building for photos with the bridal party. The building is beautiful, and was wonderful for the wedding photos. The afternoon light was perfect for bright and airy photos on the grounds of the Blue Heron Banquet and Conference Center! Then it was time for the party. The wedding reception was absolutely beautiful, thanks to the talented crew at All Events Planned. We finished off the evening with some stunning photos by the fountain, and a sparkler exit with all of the guests. Thanks to such a wonderful Bride and Groom for having us as their wedding photographers!
Brittany and Ryan's wedding proposal was just featured on the "How He Asked, by The Knot" Blog! | Cleveland Wedding Photographer
Ok guys. Our job is pretty cool!
We were lucky enough to join Ryan in surprising his beautiful bride- to- be with a sweet proposal this winter in Chagrin Falls. Ryan and Brittany braved the Cleveland winter and 8 degree temps to hop outside for a quick walk around the ever adorable Chagrin downtown.
We quietly stalked them and army crawled through the snow to capture the perfect moments as she said "yes!" (I am sure we looked absolutely insane to all of the kind folks out and about that afternoon!)
The photos show the many stages of surprise and complete joy as Brittany finally realizes what is happening. It was such a sweet moment and we are so glad that we could be there for it. There is nothing better as a Cleveland Wedding Photographer than capturing the happiest moments in a couple's life!
We shared the photos with the Knot and they were kind enough to feature their story on their blog "How He Asked, by The Knot" Check it out and hear their love story here: https://howheasked.com/brittany-ryan-2/

We had such a fabulous time photographing Tim and Alayna's gorgeous engagement session in Berea this month! We just knew that it was going to be a great day going into the session. The weather was a beautiful winter day and this couple absolutely radiates love. We were lucky enough to photograph Tim's sister's wedding this November, so we knew that we would be in great company for this shoot. It is always such an honor to get a family referral for a wedding!
We enjoyed a beautiful blue sky and sparkling white snow, which is great luck for mid March! We started out on campus at Baldwin Wallace to reminisce about their college days. They braved the cold and we captured some really sweet images around the grounds.
After a quick warm up in the cars we dropped by Coe Lake and took in the beautiful views of the water. This couple is so much fun and were willing to try a lot of snuggly poses-which is a photographer's dream! (Or were they just cold and trying to keep warm? I guess we'll never know!) We ended the afternoon at the fabulous Berea Union Depot for some relaxed portraits. Alayna and Tim enjoyed their first date at this one of a kind restaurant and wanted to return to the scene of the crime! We were able to take advantage of their beautiful grounds and interiors for some really special photographs. We even found the table where they sat for their first date. Talk about romantic!
We hope that you love these engagement portraits and stay tuned to check out their September wedding! We cannot wait for more laughs and beautiful photos with Alayna and Tim!

Hopefully you checked out the video, and got some good tips on how to choose a wedding photographer. We thought we would share a few more with you, so that you can make the best decision when choosing this important part of your wedding day.
Step 1- Get online and find some photographers whose work stands out. You'll know it when you see it! Also, hit up your social media feeds. Ask for recommendations, you probably have friends who have recently been married, or been a bride or bridesmaid in wedding. They'll be able to give you some ideas of photographers to check out.
Step 2- Figure out your favorite style of wedding photography. Do you prefer a vintage look, with light and airy backgrounds? Something more traditional? A candid or photojournalistic style, with very few posed portraits? Or maybe something edgy, but bright and clean? All of these styles of wedding photography can be awesome for a Cleveland or Akron wedding, just figure out which is your favorite.
Step 3- Interview some of your favorite wedding photographers in person. Once you have narrowed down they style of wedding photography you are looking for, set up appointments to visit your favorite wedding photographers. There are a few good reasons to meet with your potential wedding photographer in person. Most importantly, you really want to feel comfortable with the personality of your photographer. If you are comfortable and relaxed with your photographers, you will love your wedding images. You'll also want to make sure you know who your photographer will be, some large studios hire associate photographers, which can be great, just make sure you know who you are getting .
Step 4- Discuss your investment. All wedding photographers have different packages and pricing, so don't be afraid to ask questions. It's important to understand exactly what you are getting for your investment. Is there a time limit? Does the package include a wedding album? Do you receive a copyright with your photos? These are all good things to know.
Step 5- Make your choice. There's a lot of great wedding photographers out there, so how to choose? Trust your instinct. You will be spending a good portion of your wedding day with your wedding photographers, so be comfortable and be sure your personalities click.
What an awesome Cleveland wedding with Gordon and Stephanie! We started the day at the Hyatt in the the Arcade downtown with everyone getting dressed for the big day. After a touching and emotional first look (check out the photos below and try not to cry), it was off to the inner harbor for some iconic Cleveland skyline photos. It was an absolutely perfect day, and the photos look awesome! Once we wrapped up the photos, the limo took us back to the Arcade for the wedding ceremony. It's a stunning location, certainly living up to it's reputation as one of the best in the city for a Cleveland Wedding. Next it was time to party! The DJ Crew kept the party rocking, and we even snuck across the street for a final photo of the couple on E. 4th St! Thanks to an amazing Bride and Groom for having us as their wedding photographers!

Steve and Emily's Akron wedding day started at the hotel were everyone was getting ready for the big day. After everyone was looking their very best, we headed to Indigo Lake, in the Cuyahoga Valley, for a touching first look (Emily gave Steve a letter she had written to Steve two years ago, there were tears) and portraits with the bridal party. The park is looking beautiful, with the fall colors starting to show through. Once we had captured some awesome wedding photography, it was off to Todaro's Party Center, and Akron classic, for the wedding ceremony and wedding reception. It was a perfect day for an outdoor wedding ceremony! We even managed to time up a stunning Ohio sunset. Once the formalities were finished, everyone let their hair down and let loose on the Todaro's dance floor! Thanks so much to a wonderful bride and groom for having us as their wedding photographer!
We can't believe that 2018 is already here!
It is officially engagement season and we are so excited to be filling up our 2018 schedule and well into 2019! We are having the best time meeting all of our new couples, but we can't help to think back to some of the AMAZING weddings that we were so lucky to capture in 2017. A huge thank you to all of our fabulous couples for making 2017 our best yet. We cannot wait to see what our 2018 weddings bring!
Be Looking for a fun way customize your wedding?
You've already made your grand entrance as the new Mr. & Mrs. and it is time to decide on how to make a statement with your exit.
Sparkler portraits and exits are a fun and easy way to add a little sparkle to your day! Below are some tips to a winning sparkler exit for your big day:
Shop around to find large sparklers that are meant specifically for weddings. Capture the magic with sparklers that are 10", 20" or even 30" long and are virtually smokeless. These are the best choice for a sparker exit because they allow your wedding guests have plenty of time to light them for a beautiful effect. The regular sized sparklers burn out very quickly, and by the time the end of the line gets theirs lit, the start of the line has already burned out. Not exactly a picture perfect moment!
Be sure to enjoy the moment and go slowly through the line of wedding guests! Smile, laugh and even stop to kiss for a moment as you make your way through your sparkler tunnel. Your friends and family want to send you off with a bang. Be sure to soak in that last moment before you ride off into the night with your NEW spouse!
Be open to trying new things and have fun with the late evening and night photos. It is a great opportunity to take a moment to get away from the craziness of the wedding reception and enjoy a little snuggle time! We can get creative using the sparkers to make a special design or even a word to create a magical photograph.
Ok, definitely going to sound like a Mom and a Dad here, but you do want to take some precautions when dealing with flames and wedding guests! Be sure to check in with your venue to see if there are any guidelines that you need to follow in order to have sparklers on site. Things to consider include being prepared with a safe vessel to put the hot sticks when you are through with them, having enough lighters to go around and identifying someone to help coordinate the guests and help them with lighting the sparklers.
We cannot wait to create a unique and beautiful moment with you this wedding season!
